The Power of Story

The great George R. R. Martin said it best: “I’ve lived a thousand lives and I’ve loved a thousand loves. I’ve walked on distant worlds and seen the end of time. Because I read.” So much of who I am as a person has come from the friends I’ve known and the adventures I’ve lived between two covers. I’ve gotten over heartbreaks, dealt with the grief of tragic loss, felt the triumph of breaking through barriers and explored the imaginations of people I’ll never know.
That’s the beauty of books. They prepare us for life and they bind us together. That belief is at the heart of the stories I write—stories about power, survival, and the choices that define us. Everyone who reads a book experiences it differently, but all of us become part of its story. Thank you for coming to be part of mine.
